We all know that feeling,.. You’re a couple of days into your trip and you have a craving for a juicy burger. Let us assure you, Japan knows burgers and you will not be left wanting.

You've got three great options for burgers in the village depending on the type of food you are after.

Madarao mountain Lodge is home to the famous Mad Cow Burger. Surely you've heard whispers on the hill about these right? The mad cow has a great trust, which is a topping made from Nagano apples. This region is famous for them and what better way to try them than in a burger! Mountain Lodge is just 2 doors up the road from Raicho Lodge, but get in early as these burgers walk out the door quickly, and you really do not want to miss out.

Monster hunger after riding the pow?

Smokies Bar and Grill offers up a giant burger for dinner. One is enough to share for a couple usually, but if you and your friends are feeling like you could eat a horse, you might be able to finish one each, maybe...... Smokies also kicks on pretty late and is one of the last venues to close at night once everything else has wound up.

Cans of Asahi Super Dry are the perfect match for dinner here.

The Monster Burgers at Smokies are just HUGE. Don’t worry about order the chips you probably won’t need it!

Unjuane Madarao is dedicated to all things burgers. This shop started out in Hakuba and is a welcome new addition to the village. We haven’t confirmed it with anyone yet, but we are pretty sure that Unjuane means “mouth watering” ;-)

Located Next door to the Shaggy Yak in the center of town, this place is flipping burgers from last lifts to last drinks. Make sure you ask the staff for extra aoli on your chips. It can't be beat!
